India's direct-to-home (DTH) satellite TV market has become more competitive with Airtel joining the likes of Dish TV, Tata Sky and Big TV.
Bharti Airtel's digital TV Service will be available to customers through 21,000 retail points. It uses the MPEG4 standard with DVB S2 technology to provide good picture clarity and high-quality
audio. This high-definition-ready( HD ) technology enables delivery of more complex interactive content. Also Airtel digital TV uses 20 % larger dish antenna foe better performance during rain.
